As you would with a rental car, thoroughly inspect your home for damage before it leaves the sales center and again when it arrives at your site.
Upon inspection at your home site, if you discover any damage to the home, take photos and immediately file a report with the transport company.
Though the retailer or its transport company are usually responsible for delivering the manufactured home to your site, they may not be able to accept this responsibility if roads or access are inadequate. Be sure to have them scout the route in advance.
Before you tie up your arrangements to transport a home, be sure you have a written warranty from the transport company. Otherwise, you may have trouble getting that company to cover the cost of any damage.
