Aluminum dryer flex hose is often the dryer vent connector of choice because of its safety and heat-removal efficiency. To make the flex hose connect to your clothes dryer box, it is helpful to take a section of plastic pipe, lay it inside the lip of the flex hose, and roll, pressing downward. Then take scissors and cut two to three 1-inch slots into the now-enlarged end of the flex hose.
Spray a little adhesive into the pipe in the dryer box, slide the slightly opened end of the hose over it, and use a hose clamp to secure it in place. (Also see How to Install a Clothes Dryer.)
