Dryer Is Noisy or Runs But Doesn't Tumble |
|
1) Some noises are caused by objects bouncing around inside the drum or by loose, vibrating dryer parts. Scour the interior of the drum for loose objects. 2) If the noise is being caused by defective parts—notably a worn or defective drum belt, idler pulley, support roller, or worn motor bearings—it's best to call an appliance repair service.
3) If your dryer runs but doesn't tumble, this situation indicates that something is wrong with the switch, motor, belt, or mechanism that turns the drum. Call a repair service.
