DIY How to Install a Dishwasher

To install a dishwasher, you need a couple of basic tools, a dishwasher supply hose, and a dishwasher drain hose. Drill two holes in the under-sink cabinet next to the dishwasher, one toward the cabinet's bottom, and one toward the top.

Attach the water supply connection to the dishwasher with a Teflon tape-wrapped metal connector. Then connect the plastic drain hose to the dishwasher's drain outlet.

Thread the plastic drain hose through the upper hole in the sink cabinet, and the water supply through the lower hole. Attach the drain hose to the garbage disposal with a hose clamp.

Turn on the water supply and make sure to check for water leaks.
